This Guy

Monday: I can’t believe two years have gone by so quickly. This guy can’t dance, watches way too much UFC on TV and likes Survivor but I never have to make coffee in the morning, pick up dog poop or pretend to laugh. Love you x

Eye of the Tiger

Tuesday: Whilst the dog is in the kitchen hoping like hell a 500g topside roast will just fall off the bench, the cat has occupied my office chair and is guarding the garden. He sees everything (and then yawns and goes back to sleep)

Day 8 - New Leaf.

Wednesday: Normally my New Years resolution is to punch anyone in the face who asks me what my New Years resolution is – but this is the year I turn 40 and if I am honest with myself, punching people in the face won’t cut it for 2014.

Day 9 - It is Good.

Thursday: I am happy with decisions that I made today and I’m very happy that I sifted around in my pj’s for a large portion of the day! We’ve just been down at the Good George having ciders and beers (and onion rings) with Amy and Emma and it was also … bloody good! Nice one Thursday – thumbs up for you.

Day 10 - Take it Back.

Friday: We went over to the Karangahake Gorge and did the Windows walk up through the old Talisman Gold Mining Battery. The battery was one of for built in the 1890’s. The bush has consumed most of the old buildings however you can still see remains of the beam engine and other machinery. Walking through the old mining tunnels there are four ‘windows’ which look out on to the hill where the gold was mined and the river below.

Day 11 - Home Grown

Saturday: Fresh as dinner tonight … my mouth is watering! Tomatoes and cucumbers by us, avocados by Megan – and coriander from some farmer in the Waitaks.

Day 12 - The Clean Out

Sunday: I spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen this morning, not cooking, not cleaning so much as cleaning out. I’ve prepped what I call the Landing Zone and Magic Corner to be set up as best as possible for a months worth of no sugar etc eating. Ken and I are going to do the Whole 30.
