New Year, new light.
I’m starting a 52-week photography project to get back behind the lens – actually behind all my equipment, both cameras and lenses.
I have very simple rules to ensure I don’t overwhelm myself again. Been there too many times!
There will be one printed image in an album, one posted blog/instagram, and one week at a time.
This week’s challenge was “The Threshold,” shot with my Fuji X-T30ii and the 35mm prime.
Standing in the cool shade of the lounge, looking out at the midsummer sun hitting the garden, it felt like the perfect metaphor for January.
Standing between the quiet of home and the vibrant possibilities of the year ahead.
I also wanted something to capture the contrast between light and shadows, heat and cool – with the weather we have had, is sun and rain too much of a stretch?
