Tuesday Rocks

Tuesday Rocks is a week overdue!!
I’ve just been looking back through my calendar to try and work out my highlights of the last few weeks and realised how time seems to be speeding up even though daylight savings means that our days are getting longer and longer.

More Rugby World Cup 2011

There are some days when I swear about my job – about my company.
However one night, it was more of a “Fuck Yea” than anything else.  I got home from a walk and received a text message from someone I work with who told me that I won tickets to one of the Quarter Final games – the All Blacks versus Argentina none the less!

Cossie and I headed in to Kingsland with Paul and Tracey for a few pre match drinks – and to watch Australia knock out South Africa and then we took off to Eden Park.  Brilliant!  So very pleased that I won the chance to attend a game.

Getting Wet – Again

A year ago I was Deralie’s instructor for her Advanced Open Water up at the Poor Knights Islands.
Last weekend we headed back out on the boat for a weekend’s diving with her in all her tech gear and certified as well!

To give you an idea of what she has achieved in the last year:

  • PADI Advanced Open Water –> PADI Rescue Diver –> PADI Divemaster Trainee –> TDI Introduction to Tech –> TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures.

I’m pretty proud of her and I had a fantastic weekend out on the board with the crew – as Andrew and Anna and Marty were on board and also Pip and Trevor (to name a few).  Tons of laughs and a few photographs that I am pleased with.  In particular ..

I’ve been featuring Scuba Sunday diver’s interviews over on Dive Mistress. Deralie’s interview will be a little different and will be coming up in a couple of weeks – keep an eye out.

Stretching my photography muscles

A year ago I decided that I would start the 365 Day Project.  A project in which you take a photograph a day for 365 days.  I lasted 4 days.  Wicked.

Earlier this week I got called out in a challenge.  A walk in the park they said.  We shall see.

I’ve used the same Flickr album as I started with last year:

Stretching actual muscles!!

I joined a gym!  That’s all I’m going to write about that for now.

In summary – what a cool three weeks just gone by.  There is a bit of stuff I have missed but I’ve blogged about some of it and tweeted about some of it.
At least social media is there to record what I might forget.

Ohhhh – there was the small matter of the person that thought they might send me an email telling me what they thought about my tattoos.
