The Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve is 40 hectares of native plants and bird species about 20 minutes north from Hamilton.

Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve is an on-lead area and is managed in part by the Department of Conservation.  Any off-lead photographs that you see that have been taken at this site have had the leads digitally removed.

There are a network of tracks that will take us around the reserve, and you can head up the hill to the Trig Station where you will get beautiful views across the Waikato.
I love the Reserve for its lush greens and tall trees – and its path ways covered in natural arches.  The log hauler site is an open area with shelter and water and is a 5 minute walk from the carpark.

Because of the bird life at this location, I recommend it for sessions where we can take things slower, where action and playing isn’t a huge priority and for dogs who will be happy to stay with us rather than running off to chase the creatures who call the reserve home.
