I’m a wee bit late for this months Currently linkup so I am going to go ahead and just blame pre-Easter work busy-ness and a whole lot of other things … I really crammed a whole lot of life into the end of March and start of April!

Daylight Savings finished this weekend and I am absolutely loving that it is not so dark in the mornings, the dark in the evenings bit is a bit yuck but I have lots to keep me busy.  We have just had the long Easter weekend – ours felt like one meal after another and we were just killing time in between but it actually wasn’t quite that bad!

So what’s been happening around here then?

tarasutherland-redpanda-hamiltonzooWe have Mika up with us this week, for part of the school holidays, and whilst Ken and I are loving it, I think Napoleon (the cat) is loving it the most.  He hasn’t had to leave his room all week for cuddles, basically they come to him!!  I bought a new duvet cover for her room before she arrived and I wanted to get to putting some art up on to the walls.  That didn’t happen.  Next time.

We have made ‘Easter Chocolate Slice’ – where you combine almost every type of chocolate and some biscuits and coconut, pop it in the fridge and then gorge yourself on it for days.  We’ve eaten bacon and roast and macaroni (two) cheese with sausages.  We went wandering around the Arboretum and we have been to the Zoo.
I’m at work for the next couple of days so those two are headed off exploring and walking and hanging with the dogs – and then I will take Friday off.  Which is also Nixie Lix’s nominated birthday.  Happy 2 years old my baby girl!

Exploring:  I have had a couple of trips to the Arboretum and then I went and checked out Resthills Park.  There are another two locations on my list that I would like to check out, both as possible Pet Posse Workshop locations and as places to use for on-location Pet Photography Sessions here in the Waikato

Wishlisting:  I want a few things (I’d like to say I need but lets be honest) … a new pair of Chuck Taylors as both my current pairs have lots of holes in them and a new pair of headphones – especially ones that won’t annoy my workmates and other travelers.

Wearing: Layers!  Whilst Autumn temperatures are only one or two degrees cooler than summer, except yesterday – oh and the day before, the nights are definitely bringing a little chill.  And its so nice!!  We had an amazing summer, we’re now seeing beautiful autumn colour come through and soon it will be time for boots!! Actually, I need to add boots to the wishlist above.

Sipping: Water, water, lots of water.  Especially super ice cold water.

Writing: Session Blogs.  I am making a real effort to tidy up my workflow, archive, update my Customer systems and catch up on all my session blogs that I haven’t yet posted.  In my last newsletter I talked about how making sure I take care of my customers was the most important thing to me and it is such a big goal that I have started using Trello to keep everything streamlined.  Trello is such a great tool!!

Currently posts link up with bloggers from all over the world.  I recommend you start with our host Jenna, then cruise to my friend Suzy and then my other pick for this month, Emilie
