When I saw the title of this weeks theme, well normally I would have thought “excellent, we SO have this covered!”
Nixie Lix is an American Bulldog, Greyhound X and she is an absolute water baby! I often say that she would swim in a teacup if she could fit her butt in it, Unfortunately at the moment, she has 5 stitches on her back and there is no going near water until they come out. I would have dearly loved to have taken her to one of her favourite places which is the Waikato River, only 2 blocks from our house.
Now I know this is probably pushing it a little, but because Nixie has just had surgery, I’m going to do my current take on a water theme …
We go to the park just across the road, and in the warmer months, we take a basic plastic bottled water bottle for the dogs to drink from. We’re just teaching our little dude to do this so watching the water trickle down his muzzle is quite funny – and then he goes and licks the water dribbling off Nix. The light has been lovely and I couldn’t resist trying some back lighting and to get some sparkle off the water drops.
