Another Currently blog post – also written on a Friday!  I actually have a day off today, well a day off from my number one job, so I have lazed the morning away reading. It’s been so long since I picked up my Kindle that I was actually surprised it had any charge in it at all. As usual though, I have given myself a list of things to do today and now that its almost 2:30, I’ve finally kicked myself in the butt hard enough to start doing them.

iMac RestoreThat bright white box in the middle of my iMac says ‘Restoring’.
It also says Time Remaining: 9 hours and 5 minutes.

I am crying on the inside and crossing all my fingers and all my toes that this restore will keep me going through to Monday (when I have another day off) or even better Thursday … payday.  Thank heavens for backups – thank you Time Machine!
If you don’t back up your data, don’t be a dick, do it now.

I think all my electronics are out to hate on me at the moment, even though my logical self says that just isn’t possible so I’m working through them one by one.  I’ve just cleared my iPhone of around 3000 photographs and will delete the screenshots and the duplicates and the over filtered ones I was messing with and decided not to do anything with.  As I’m at home today my iPhone is sans case … I feel so reckless when my iPhone is naked – and now that its Camera Roll is clear … well look out!!!  I’m also quite aware that I don’t do anything with most of those photographs that I take anymore so I think I’ll start the old collages up again, least of all for me and maintaining some sort of diary on this old site of mine.

So … what has been happening team?

Watching: We still haven’t finished Dexter, the next season of Pretty Little Liars is on Netflix and I’ve started House, Vikings and Supernatural.  The only program that we watch that doesn’t come from Netflix or another internet source is rugby!  Oh and Super Rugby starts again this weekend after a wee hiatus so we could kick England’s butt all the way back home.  I’m enjoying all those shows for different reasons but when Ken introduced me to Supernatural … hello!!  A super cool car, two pretty handsome guys and some pretty funny one liners all rolled up with a couple of scares per episode – YES PLEASE!

Listening To: I built up a playlist on Pandora called Rainy Sunday Afternoons and a band called Fink kept appearing on it.  You must get a little Fink in your life and the set that they did the with The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra is just magic!

 – I’d normally add a ‘Thinking About’ and ‘Reading’ section in here but to be completely honest, my mind is an absolute jumble of all sorts of shit and I’ve only just found my Kindle again.

Making Me Happy: Miss Nixie Lix.  Yesterday was her one year adoptaversary.  I can’t believe how fast it has gone and how much she has grown.  When I picked her up from the SPCA, she was 6kg and I could carry her down the stairs in the middle of the night when she wanted to go wees.  Today, she is about 30kgs and she sleeps through the night.  I’m so very lucky that such an awesome little dog made my home her home and she makes me very very happy every day.  She’s currently snuggled up quite close to me on the couch as if she knows that I am telling you about her.

Nixie Lix - American Bulldog - Life By TaraI’m going to sign off now – Nixie and I have some House to watch and a whole bed to take up tonight while Ken is away.  But first …
