Day 19- Nicknames you have; why do you have them

I didnt think I had a lot of nicknames til I sat down to write this post.

Ewi, Te Hei and Jazel (about 1995)

T-J – a shortened version of my full first name.  Also the name by which I was known fulltime up until about seventh form.  I was one heck of a tomboy.
Mom and Dad still use this 95% of the time (unless they are mad and then I get the double barreled full name.  My lovely old friends use it too and it sounds weird coming from anyone else).

Teej – a softer version of above

Te Hei – thanks to my brothers.  We have awesome nicknames for each other.  This is usually part of the sentence “te hei mauri ora”

Chichi – my dive name.  Everyone gets one for one reason or another.
I got mine thanks to my massive sun glasses and my ability to get a wicked glasses tan – turning me into the polar opposite of a panda bear

Dive Mistress – obviously female version of Dive Master and something people started calling me when I was doing my course.  I’ve now turned it into my brand.

There are a few other choice ones that I can remember – but they were more like one timers, or short timers.
Camille used to called me Pea Way.  God I hated that!
I got called Pea for quite a long time too but thats died out now.

Most of the people that I spend a lot of time with now don’t know any of the above.  *Phew*
