“So I talked it over with my husband, and we decided that I would be a professional photographer”
Episode One: Let the Camera do the work for you …
Episode Two: Let THEM give you the pose they want to be in …
You know, thanks to Missy, I’m going to need to let Andrew, Marty, Skip and Pete know that they got it wrong.
That mode isn’t M for Manual – it is actually M for Moron!
And all this effort that I have been putting in over this 365 Project and the reading and the photograph/check/light/check .. well I didn’t need to do any of it!
Missy says that any of us can be a professional and we don’t need to learn about fstops and shutter speeds. I mean she takes great phtoographs of her kids, and other peoples kids. I really wish that I was a MWAC so I had the time to do the same thing. Basically to follow all of her instructions.
I bought some good lenses so I should be alright from now shouldn’t I?
That 18-200m lens will take care of everything I ever need to photograph from now on.
I can put those manuals back in the bookshelf now. I will have so much extra time over the Christmas holidays!
I am also really excited about not having to change any settings when I am underwater – instead of fiddling with the buttons and dials on the housing, I can concentrate on my buoyancy and I will have even more time to find things to photograph. How exciting!!
“Missy” is brilliant. I’m loving this series on her YouTube channel.
I know I am new to photography. That I am an over enthusiastic amateur and that I have had no instruction, education or real experience. So some of what she says resonates with me (I’m sure someone out there thinks I am a poser) but she is funny!! Her videos are really worth watching.
A few blogs and comments that I have read think that Missy is being mean to the Mom’s With A Camera who don’t spend a lot of money on equipment and training. That’s not true.
It’s the MWACs that say that professional photographers are too expensive for what they do and the ones that won’t make any effort to move off the P dial that are the ones that she is poking fun at.
And no, she is definitely not for real. Well maybe a little.
For further giggles, read the comments. Not everyone gets the joke.
Except on Facebook. People on Facebook get it … facebook.com/MWACattack
