Whilst the meat balls were doing their little meat ball thing in the oven, I decided to make something sweet, a little treat. I was really happy with last weeks Easter chocolate so here we go again;
What you need: Cacao powder, mixed nuts, pitted dates, coconut oil, maple syrup, shredded coconut
Have 1/4 cup of coconut oil in liquid form and grind up 1 cup of mixed nuts (any nuts that you like – next time I am going with all macadamias!), cut up 1 cup of dates and mix it all together.
Mix in 3/4 cup of cacao powder and maple syrup to taste. Ours could do with some more maple syrup I think but they are still delicious!
Make your balls (can you tell I’m being a little childish today with the liberal use of the word balls?)
Roll the balls in coconut and pop them in the freezer to set.
