06:00 – up, up, up – let’s do this! First day of what I am promising myself to be the start of my new routine. I know I function better for the day after doing a workout first – so Ken and I are doing the BFT Balance workout from Sunday and then taking the dogs for a walk. If this plan works out today, this will be something that we try out for the rest of the week. Probably means I will spend even more time in activewear – but who the fuck cares?! I have a skunk stripe that’s being hidden by a stupid ponytail that’s showing off an undercut growing out … there’s worse things in life than living in Clique’s and trainers.
08:00 – logging in to start my day. The very first item on my list is quelling my anger. By unsubscribing and unfollowing all the businesses (and yes I know you are struggling) but think that they are ‘essential’ at this time. Food is essential, blankets and heaters and other items that keep us warm are essential – collagen is not. Fake tan – are you fucking kidding me?!
There’s A LOT of things that a lot of people can’t do right now. But there are some opportunities too! I heard a great question today – and I’d challenge everyone, myself included, to answer this …. “if I asked you to teach a class RIGHT NOW, what would your core lessons be?
UPDATE: took me over 30 minutes to unsubscribe and unfollow.
Nothing happened for the rest of the day except work. A lot of work. I for one, am very much looking forward to a long weekend.
16:00 – headed out for my C25K run. Once again, feeling incredibly grateful for where we live. Both because the Zoo House is behind two gates and because if we do go out to exercise, its absolutely 100% local.
18:00 – whilst Ken goes out to do his run, I decided I was going to get my Nigella on. Adapting a Spring Rabbit recipe and substituting in chicken. Somehow there was a lone leek in my fridge and Nigella seems to quite like a leek or two. I also managed to sneak a celery in there!! Don’t tell Ken. But it was delicious and I was stoked with the result – even more so that there’s leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
