What January Means To Us …

This is such a great theme for the second week of the Beautiful Beasties Project 52!
Whilst the Northern Hemisphere is freezing, I’m sunburned and Nixie Lix and Django are running around super early in the morning before breakfast and then having their big play of the day outside before it gets too hot. They then spend their days lolling around in front of the fan – and chewing on ice before standing next to the BBQ hoping for a piece of steak or kumara to fall off.

One of our new favourite locations is the Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve.
It’s about a 10 minute drive from our house but its fully accessible to dogs on leads and most of the time there is lovely long grass – perfect for pet photography.
On our latest visit there, one of the little clearings had a shaft of sunlight peeking through on to green grass and yellow flowers and being there with the birds singing was just lovely. I also tested out my Christmas present (to myself) a LensBaby Muse.

Nixie Lix is normally quite patient with me but when she’s here, she just wants to run through the bush and up and around the hill.
The photographs below tell a wee story;

1. NOT AGAIN!
