Halloween isn’t the biggest of holidays here in New Zealand in fact it is little more than an excuse for stores to stock all manner of costumes and for kids to cruise around the streets asking for lollies. At our house this year, I’ll be putting up a sign – not because I’m grinchy but because people coming down the driveway and knocking on the door will drive the dogs crazy. And thats just not fair on them and also on our neighbours.
But this is my first week participating in the Beautiful Beasties Pet Photography Network weekly photo project and this weeks Project 52 theme is obviously Halloween.
Nixie and I tried a few outfits, she’s my go to for dressups but I couldn’t quite get the one I wanted before she went in for her surgery. We’ll save it for next year. Then I went to my second choice, really should have been my first, Napoleon Dynamite is the scariest thing in this house by far even though he lives with an American Bulldog X and some kind of Staffy/Mastiff/Pitbull X
Without further ado, I give you Count Catula … such an appropriate outfit for this cat!
Project 52 is a circle project so from here, use the following link to hop over and visit Marianne Cherry (Sydney & MAC Creative Designs, Washington DC) and keep visiting the other blogs until you end up back here.
Happy Halloween everyone! t x
love that shot!
Love it! My black cat had a little devil outfit I used to put on him (for as long as he’d tolerate it.) It befitted his personality.
I’m so surprised he sat still for this long – and that the costume doesn’t have a hole in it already!
Awesome colors against that backdrop! very artistic.. I love black cats and the red provides just the right amount of contrast with those gorgeous green eyes.
