I’m the boss of me.
I’m the boss of how my day goes – well I am when I make the decision to be – and then attempt to hold on to that decision for dear life.
Some days it is easier to be happy than others.
Today's a good day to put all your troubles in a bag & say "Fuck you, trouble bag! I'm the boss!"

Rob’s tweet reminds me of that old World War I marching song we used to sing at school:
“Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile, smile smile”
It’s no secret that I have multiple emotional personalities, especially around that ‘time of the month’.
Most of those emotional personalities tend more towards the introspective and passive agressive now than the outwardly ranty and angry however they do like to flip flop around.
Every now and then I feel myself starting to get weighed down and whilst I might let myself go on a little ride of self pity, of melancholiness (is that even a word?) or just being a bit bummed out, there comes a time when enough is enough. I need to kick myself in the ass and tell myself to sort my shit out.
Wallowing in my own misery is only going to make it harder to see a solution for the problem – or a way to improve whatever it is that is getting me down.
Most often I will listen to music – loud.
Or I will phone a friend.
Or I will head off with my camera.
Do you think you can talk yourself in to happy?
