I had a brunch date so I left my bed a little earlier than I would have preferred … had the lure of bacon and eggs and hugs with Cate not been an option.

Using Apple Maps for fun – turns out it knew a faster way to Mt Eden than I would have taken.

One more coffee and a glass of orange after a delicious Orvieto Eggs Benedict. I can totally recommend their hash brown. Nothing left to take a photograph of though!

Cate’s street is lined with trees in blossom. They are quite pretty.

Grocery shopping for the week. It has been ages since Marmite went out of stock yet the supermarket still has quite a bit of shelf space allocated.

Hanging my lovely birthday present. There is the perfect space in the kitchen for her.

Time to relax.

Someone else spent the whole afternoon relaxing too.

And two hours later was still in the same spot.

A few candles lit at dusk.

Clean sheets and my beautiful comfortable bed. Time to catch up on the last couple of weeks of Downton Abby.
