Phew! Â It’s not actually the start of the week anymore.
Moanday has been and gone and I can stop focusing so much on what needs to  be done for the rest of this week and a little more on me and what makes me happy.
After another wonderful weekend down at Hollow’s Haven (Marcia’s lovely home in Hamilton) and a fabulous dinner at Victoria Street Bistro for her birthday, I have a couple of days in Auckland and then I am off to Wellington again.
I am starting to really quite like Tuesday’s.
Tuesday doesn’t have the intensity of Monday. Â I don’t have to make a list of what didn’t get finished last week, collate the requests I have received over the weekend and try and anticipate some others. Â There is no flitting from one meeting to the next.
And I have groceries!!! Â There is no last minute scrambling to prepare dinner from some limp spring onions, a packet of udon noodles and some chicken stock.
Girls out to Dinner
Saturday night and 5 of us went out for dinner for Marcia’s birthday.
We started off with pre dinner drinks and then headed in to Hamilton to Victoria Street Bistro. The food was delicious – and the company was just hilarious.
Kittens and Cats
Adding pictures – but mainly gifs – of kittens and cats to my Tumblr.
Some days, the best recipe for a smile is simply a gif of a kitten.
I’d love to have another kitten – but we’ve tried that. Â And the Boss didn’t like it one bit. Â So The Treehouse will be a one cat house for quite some time.
Thank goodness for the internet.
Game of Thrones
I am currently reading the third book in the series and I am loving it.
Whilst having a quick look through my Google Readder, I came across these bookcovers/illustrations today. Â I think they are fantastic.
If you know who created them – would you let me know please?
Holy Shit Facts
I found these Holy Shit Facts on Reddit and I spent a good couple of hours tweeting them and some other facts that I started looking up.
Our world is really quite amazing and from history to science to nature to ourselves, I feel like I know so little. Â And even worse, that I haven’t taken any time to learn more about it.
Butterflies don't pee – they drink enough to survive and anything extra is emitted as a pure water mist from their abdomens #holyshitfacts
