I like jewelery – but it has to be chunky or colourful.  Or even better, BOTH!

Last time I was down in Greytown I bought a beautiful pair of Fuzen Glass earrings at Flax Gallery (the gallery in Greytown that Mom works in).  I just love that stunning teal colour on the left below.

And last weekend I spent quite a few minutes staring at the beautiful items in the cabinet.
There are another couple of pieces that I really want!

Fuzen glass jewelery is made in Australia.

The glass is kiln-annealed which means it is dried very very slowly.  Some of the pieces are dried for up to 11 hours.  Drying the glass slowly strengthens it and removes some of the internal stresses.  The glass will also retain its colour and stay beautifully shiny.

Each piece of Fuzen Glass jewellery is designed then cut from bright coloured sheet glass, put together then ‘baked’ by fuzen in the kiln.
The pieces are fired one, two or even three times to get the results each design demands.  The freshly fired beads are then cleaned and then put together to create the unique jewellery.

I’ve found reference to a store on Etsy but it doesn’t have any stock in it.
