Friday 22 January.
Not quite crisis time but the weather in Wellington is not playing ball with our plans for Sarah’s Bachelorette Day at the Trentham Wine, Food and Racing Festival.

Alternate plans are made.
Ladies must still dress in full race regalia however we are off to Dockside.  For a sit down lunch, champagne and a covered room out of this northery and chilly winds.  And we do not have to worry about traipsing around the race course getting our heels stuck in the mud and treading on our dresses.

Saturday 23 January.
Its off to the non-Races at Dockside.

We get a slightly later start and Sarah and I leave the house with our new hats and new pantsuits on – accompanied by 22 piccolo bottles of Lindauer Fraise.  And some pink fluffy handcuffs.

Rule of the day – if you say Andy’s name (or call him Andrew, Undies or any combination or his nickname) that’s it.
You must wear the pink handcuffs until another poor girl has to take them from you and wear them herself.

Even though it was a day at the races, I chose these photographs in black and white with a color filter.
