Uncle Paul and Aunt Tara take Daddy shopping for cigars

Dear Little Floss,

I am writing you this letter before you are even born.  And you won’t even be able to read it for a good many years however it will be posted on the internet and at some time in your life, you might come across it.
It is getting to the time when all your Mommy and Daddy’s friends are starting to get very excited about your arrival.

For example yesterday, your Uncle Paul and I took your Daddy to the Havana cigar shop to buy some cigars which we will smoke in celebration of your arrival.
We also took him to Glengarry’s (which I am sure you will become very familiar with over time) and bought a bottle of whiskey with which to “wet your head” as the saying goes.  We will not be doing this until we know that you and your Mommy are safe and well at BirthCare.
Hopefully you will see that when I say we are all excited to meet you, we mean it, and its not just an excuse for Daddy and us to have lots of alcohol and smoke stogys.

Now, imagine how happy I was when your Daddy sent me a picture of the scan and I could see your face!
I think you might have your Daddy’s nose which might be unfortunate if you did not have such a good looking Mommy.

Now I know that your parents have been doing a great deal of work to ready your room for you – and you have many gifts waiting for you.
While we are all eager and anticipating the day you make your entrance, come when you are good and ready.  We will be here when you are.

Lots of love,

Aunt Tara.
