Happy New Year dear readers and friends! Thank you for sticking with me over the last year even though it’s been very very quiet on the blog front. My Facebook page has had a few more posts however the majority of the action has happened on Instagram. Over on the right, over there over there, is a grid with our Every Day which is where you’ll find my ‘Gram and basically, my mini blog.
So here we are. Week One of the 2018 52 Week Pet Photography Project.
I’ve never been a big one for the New Year New Me thing – but I do believe that come January 1st, there is the opportunity to grow and to develop and to try new things. And, in my case, to re-evaluate and set new priorities. Over both Christmas and New Year our house has been full with family staying, which has been wonderful but not so good for the wee To Do list that I set myself at the end of last year, so I’m still working through exactly what those priorities are, to be honest … if you know of a good planning and prioritisation tool, please let me know!
To the prompt!
Blank Slate is such a good way to start the year! It gives us lots of freedom but with limited time and a summer storm, I reached out to someone who I know has space for me to set up my mini studio, a selection of the most gorgeous ever dogs and the desire to go along with my ideas. Yes yes I could use my own dogs but Nixie is giving me the “oh for goodness sake just leave me along Mum” face and Bogie, well he needs a wee bit more posing training (one of this year’s priorities).
Hadleigh is now 5 weeks old. Her ears are up and she’s running around wrestling toys and biting ears. We had to wait some time for her to settle to get these shots. These are a progression from what we were working on last time.
And then finally, this wee poppet got to have her proper nap!
For more Blank Slate photographs, go and visit Susannah Maynard from Pet Love Photography, serving Greater Cincinnati and the San Francisco Bay Area to see what she has created, and then keep visiting the other blogs until you end up back here.
Happy Friday y’all X
Lovely Tara. I can almost smell the puppy breath?
Awww so sweet!
That first shot is so adorable! Bonus that it includes me favorite shade of blue.
Welcome back to blogging!
