Q: I notice when you are photographing, you don’t have a strap on your camera. Aren’t you worried?
Well the short answer to this is … only a little!!
99% of the time I have my camera in my hand as I like to be as ready as possible for any photograph that might present itself. I find my Nikons to be very comfortable even though, yes I know mirrorless weigh a whole lot less. The grip, and the additional battery grip, fit nicely in my hand and feel secure.
I have a couple of Nikon neck straps and I have a Black Rapid sling strap but I find they get in the way more than they provide me with any comfort.
I don’t like the feeling of something dangling around my neck however I’ve recently been given a neoprene (gold) Nikon strap and that seems to sit nicer and swing less. The Black Rapid sling I use sometimes except it gets in the way with my backpack and I get all flustered.
I was also given a hand strap recently although I’m yet to fit it properly and take it for a test drive.
Whats your favourite? Neck strap, sling strap, hand strap or something else?
Spider Belt – it’s fabulous! Frees up your hands and holds your pants up at the same time!
I’d never heard of one before! Thanks for the tip – this might be just what I need to try.
