It’s midday Sunday – here in Madrid.

The blog posts are definitely few and far between these days. I’ve been processing my life in a junk journal recently – since last year – and whilst I make a few notes and use some stickers to convey how I am thinking and feeling, nothing feels as good as a big dump of everything that’s happened since my last post … April 2023! That post was a Photography project post, so the last real update I wrote was probably 2021. Holy shit. Plus, my journal is over the other side of the world from me right now.

How do I sum up the last 4 years? I’m not going to – I’m going to treat them like the world treats Covid and forget they ever existed.

Apparently … I made the top 50 of FeedSpot’s Top Dog Mom Influencers list! Number 36!
No idea what it even means, don‘’’t even know who would care about that – but there you go.

Doing: I went back to school. I finished my Diploma in Business Leadership and Management papers before I went on a week’s tour of the International Institute of Business Analysis Festival of Business Analysis – I was invited to speak in Wellington, Auckland and Sydney. That was pretty surreal – and a huge compliment too.

Reading: We went to Fiji on holiday at the beginning of October. Probably our first real holiday in a few years. It was absolutely wonderful – and the perfect weather to start re-reading Patricia Cornwell’s Kay Scarpetta series. So I’m now on Book Six.

Watching: Greys Anatomy – from the start, 9-1-1: Lone Star and ALL the Formula 1 (Marcia and I were up at just the right time to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix this morning – holy heck what a race!)

Making: I’m not sure this totally counts as ‘Making’ – I’ve been working on a Gemini AI agent that acts as a Life Coach. I’ve just done my second quarterly check-in and I am really pleased with the way that it’s working and even better than that, it’s actually helping me!

Planning: More holidays!!! Fiji was just the best, and it made me realise I had been all about work for so long. Work will continue without me, and I need to take the time to do something else. Then just a couple of days in Sydney and then … a few days in New York with Marcia before we came to Madrid. That was my October and early November!

Fiji – Denarau Island – 2025
Sydney – Festival of Business Analysis – 2025
New York – Manhatten – 2025

Being Content With: Living day to day. I don’t always need to have something on the go and it’s more than okay to just be. For December, I’m focusing on eating good food, living on the deck outside and getting back into a gym routine. And enjoying summer!!!

Until next post, take care of you.
