On Monday, I am starting the Dukan Diet.
Hailed as the diet that the French have kept secret for years, the results speak for themselves – and I like results!!

My friend Emma and her husband Dan did the Dukan Diet before their wedding and they both look fantastic.

And then there is Princess Kate and her sister with that butt.

The Dukan Diet is a high protein apporach to food with 4 phases.
The first phase is an attack phase that will last around 6 days (according to my personal plan calculations).  Over these 6 days, a very small list of foods is allowed however I’ve found some pretty great recipes with a minimal amount of googling.  One that I think will be a firm favourite is a Chicken Omelette that I will post up soon.

In all honesty, I’ve got to do something.
Healthy May started with a fizz – and pretty much ended on that same fizz.
I don’t think I can count the number of posts in this blog where I have decided to do something but now I am getting older, there is more at stake.  I don’t want to go through the next part of my life fighting the same old fight with my weight – and food.
After reading the Dukan Diet book and talking to people who have done it, and those that are doing it, it seems like something I can do too.  Why not choose an eating plan where the foods you are allowed are the foods that I love?!

Except wine.

Oh Christ.  First cigarettes, now wine.  What am I doing to myself?

I’ve spent the last two days popping in and out of my Doctor’s office (and the Lab Tests office) having blood tests and all the like done.  I feel like a pin cushion – both inside and out!
Annie – my doctor – says “everything in moderation Tara, including moderation” but she is happy for me to try this out.  She’s even emailed me a couple of links for more information.  We’ve got to keep an eye on my kidneys (polycystic kidney disease and high protein may not play well together).

And then when things get really tough, I have this blog to rant on – sorry guys.

And Bronnie is doing it too >>> Dukan it. | miss B.
